A European Comparative Study on Preventive and Supporting Measures for Problem Drinkers in their Working Environment
A year long European comparative study undertaken by Alcohol Concern and partners in Italy and the Netherlands looking at alcohol related problems in the workplace. The report identifies some of the key problems associated with alcohol misuse in the workplace. It also provides guidelines and tools for the adoption of preventative and support measures by companies for employees with alcohol problems. (pdf file)

Construction Owners Association of Alberta (COAA)
Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace
To maintain the commitment to ensure a safe  work environment, a group of stakeholders from the construction industry came together in  1998 to develop this model. The model establishes standardized alcohol and drug guidelines and a policy that will ensure fairness and consistency throughout the industry. The model also helps to standardize the approach, testing, application and rehabilitation of workers. May 2001
